As a Member of LEDC You Receive the Following Benefits
Early Notification of Upcoming Events Members will receive early email notification of new events on the LEDC calendar.In addition to this, an e-mail will also be sent to all members at least two days in advance of a real-estate listing being posted on the website. This will give members an opportunity to act first.
Information/Statistics Occasionally we will conduct electronic surveys through our website to gather information about industry in the area and related topics. We will ask for information about rent for commercial space, average wages for certain jobs, and other similar subjects... This data will be compiled and turned into statistics and reports that will be provided to members upon request.
A Business Presence on the Web As an LEDC member, your business will have a "Business Card Profile" on our website. We showcase each member on the site to provide exposure and help get both member names and images out into the public eye.
Free Job Posting When you join LEDC you will be able to post job openings for your business at no cost. This will gain your business exposure on the website and help you fill positions. You can include as many jobs as you like. You are responsible for the listings and updating the listings, which should be done as often as possible. This service is only effective if information is fresh.
Consultation Regarding Tax Credits LEDC offers zero cost consultation about Vermont Economic Progress Council tax credits available to companies.
HubZone Technical Assistance All of Lamoille County qualifies for the HubZone (Historically Under Utilized Business) program, which certifies small businesses and agricultural cooperatives as eligible to sell products and services to various levels of government or to prime contractors. LEDC will provide members with information on HubZone news and other issues. A phone call or a personal meeting with the LEDC executive director will help you understand your eligibility as a HubZone corporation.
Periodic Newsletter Members receive a periodic newsletter put together by LEDC staff and containing information about LEDC's active involvement in the community and other affairs. This bulletin board also provides updates about any new state or federal legislation that affects small business operations in the Lamoille Valley.
Easy Membership Renewal With our new website, businesses are now able to become members and renew memberships online. Just click on the Members button and then click on Join LEDC. Fill out the form completely and click Submit. The form will be sent to the LEDC staff for approval. LEDC staff will contact you to arrange dues payment.
