LEDC Offers Marketing Assistance to Lamoille County Businesses
The Lamoille Economic Development Corporation has contracted with Elisa Clancy of 3W Promotions in Hyde Park to offer assistance with technical marketing counseling, free of charge to the business community in Lamoille County. This is an expansion of an initiative that the LEDC launched in 2012 to offer marketing assistance to agricultural and value added food production businesses. This assistance includes, but is not limited to, marketing plans, advertising copy, branding advice, public relations planning, press release advice, and limited website and graphic design services.
When asked why the LEDC has chosen to expand this initiative, John Mandeville, the LEDC Executive Director, said “ Vermont small business owners and managers are, generally, very good at manufacturing the products they produce, providing the services they offer and selling the goods that they retail. They are not necessarily equally adept at profitably marketing and selling and in many cases just don’t have the time or expertise to do it well. Our aim in expanding this service is to ensure that professional marketing help is there if they need it. Combining Elisa Clancy’s expertise with my own, together with the LEDC’s resources and other available avenues seems like a great way to provide Lamoille County businesses with additional tools to help them run their businesses successfully.”
LEDC Offers Website Development Grants
For-profit businesses in Lamoille County, with at least one full-time employee, are eligible to apply for the LEDC Website Development Grant that provides start-up money to create a company’s first website, or to redesign an out-dated website, with our in-house webmaster.
