Underwriting Vermont Land Link
Vermont Land Link helps Vermont’s farm seekers and farm property holders find each other. LEDC provided funding for creation of the website and database, www.vermontlandlink.org visit it to post or search for farm properties and access resources on farm access, tenure and stewardship.
Agricultural Promotion and Tourism
One has only to step into the Stowe Visitor Center to hear that a “visit to a farm” is one of the most popular requests.
LEDC’s two current agri-tourism initiatives are: support of DigInVt.com and the Mount Mansfield Tasting Tour.
The DigInVt.com project, launched by the Vermont Agriculture and Culinary Tourism Council. LEDC funded the translation of the entire website into French The site allows visitors to the website to easily find farms open to the public, farmers’ markets, farmstands, pick-your-own, as well as eateries serving local foods.
